It's like Christmas!

Opening up a blog you haven't written on in forever is like Christmas, well actually it's more like cleaning out your childrens' toybox or closet. There are all these forgotten little treasures. A big thank you to Michelle for finding my blog for me. It's pretty bad when you have to ask for your own blog address. So hopefully this bolg will improve with age like a fine wine instead of molding like a forgotten sandwich in a lunchpail. Not as poetic as Michelles's cliff trees, but she's the poet fo the group, not me.

A new member of the family

I didn't thing it was possible to squeeze one more thing into this house, but yet again my children have surprised me by attempting the impossible. Bret found a litter of pups on a furniture delivery and was sure that one just had to be ours. She is very cute and I am too much of a softy to say no. So now in addition to a cat we are now owners of two dogs. How did this happen! I am not really even an animal person. Oh, well Bret has named her Sammy and we are adjusting to life as a multipet family. So now we have a cat, two dogs, four kids, a million little daycare kids and all their toys and clothes and stuff. All we need now is a partridge in a pear tree. I guess I should just be glad that Scot finally has the shop and the shop inventory is no longer in my bedroom.

I can't believe I am blogging

This is a first. I actually am checking set up a blog site off my to do before I die list. ( My expectation in life are not extremely grand at this point) Well this is the first installment fo the acton family blog. I hope this will be a place to learn about the happenings of our large family. Kari and I also wanted this to be like a student run school paper for homeschool. We will just dwell on the fact that the blog was actually created and go for the rest later
